THE PTO BOARD

Hi! My name is Dana Hourani, and I am thrilled to co-chair the PTO presidency with Sarah! My eldest child just transitioned from LJES to Murlands after starting in TK at LJES. I also have a daughter in third grade and my youngest is now in kindergarten. I'm incredibly excited to meet new faces and foster a true sense of community through our fantastic PTO events!

Hi everyone! My name is Sarah and I feel so fortunate to be serving alongside Dana as a co-president of our PTO! I have a 5th grader, a 1st grader and next year my youngest will start UTK. I have found the LJES community to be so welcoming and warm and I look forward to helping spread that warmth across new families and returning ones as well.   

Hi! As the Treasurer, I manage the PTO's finances and budgeting for school activities. My background in the financial industry where I've held roles focused on compliance, retirement planning, and investment management. I'm an outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking, rock climbing, skiing, and exploring nature. My passion for community engagement drives my volunteer roles.

Hello everyone! I will be serving as Secretary and PTO Membership Chair for the new school year. Last year I co-chaired the Family Dance and was a Room Parent. I have been actively involved at LJES for the past few years. My son is in 3rd grade this year. I was born and raised here in San Diego and I can’t imagine a better place to live. I enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends. I am so excited to be part of all the amazing things the PTO is planning this school year!  

Hi everyone! I'll be serving as the VP of Programs for the new school year. Last year I co-chaired the Wednesday After School Program and was a Room Parent for kinder and 3rd grade. I've had a blast being actively involved at LJES for the past few years now. I have a son and daughter in1st and 4th, respectively. I was born and raised here in Southern California and have a deep love and appreciation for this special place. As a family, we love traveling, music/singing and of course, spending time at our gorgeous beaches.

Hi! In my role I'm responsible for creating, managing, and overseeing the school’s online presence. This volunteer position plays a role in engaging parents and the community through social media platforms, promoting PTO & Friends Foundation events, activities, and initiatives, and ensuring consistent and effective communication. Tasked with working closely with PTO board members, school administration, and teachers to gather information and materials for posts. Creates graphics, videos, and other multimedia content to promote PTO events and fundraisers.
