DISASTER PREPAREDNESS KITS

Also known as Comfort Kits or Emergency , parents need to prepare and send a kit for every child to school at the beginning of term.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARING KIT

  • Gallon-sized ziplock bag with student’s name printed on outside with permanent marker.

  • Disaster Preparedness Comfort Kit Card (above) filled out completely.

  • T-shirt.

  • Large, heavy-duty black trash beg (approx. 30 gallon size).

  • ​3 individually sealed non-perishable food bars (e.g. granola bar).

  • Small comfort item (e.g. beanie baby) and/or coloring book.

  • Photo of family/pet.

  • Note of reassurance (e.g. “We love you…).

Print and fully complete the Disaster Preparedness
Comfort Kit Card. Once completed it goes inside your child's zip lock bag.
